but one of the things that concern me is his approach to using the turbine's energy to drive the ducted fan. Honestly since he is using a radial flow turbine, he should be using the shaft power through a gear reduction to drive the ducted fan blades. If he were using an axial flow turbine I would say his efforts are worthwhile. But, one of the amazing things about jet engines is their ability to produce incredible amounts of power. So I'd be willing to say that he probably has an appreciable amount of power to work with. I'm not thrilled on his idea with what I mentioned before. I'd use shaft power and reduce the thermal losses from flowing all the hot air from the turbine up through that conglomeration of piping to the externally mounted turbine section for the ducted fan. Blech. That was a clusterfuck in and of itself to explain much less build it and strap yourself to. LOL
